Memorial Day Whitefish Chain Yacht Club Announces 2022 Events Celebrating Safety on the Water for 70 years! 1952-2022 July 5-8, July 11-15, July 18-22 10:00 am - 1:00 pm Youth Swimming Classes are free and will focus on water safety at the Army Corp of Engineers Campground in Crosslake. June 7 and July 13 8:30 am to 1:00 pm Youth Boating Safety Classes in conjunction with the Crow Wing County Sheriff's Water Patrol for youth ages 12-17 will be held at Zorbaz in Crosslake. June 24 and July 22 5:30 pm Women at the Helm - Held at Bertha Boatworks, this course is for women who would like to get more comfortable at the helm of their boats with Jonny Wallin as your instructor. June 18 9:00 am - 4:00 pm The WCYC is also a proud sponsor of the Antique and Classic Wood Boat Rendezvous at Moonlite Bay Family Restaurant. Come see vintage woodies and other classic boats on the docks at Moonlite Bay. August 13 Cardboard Boat Races is a popular event and enjoyed by all as teams try to paddle their homemade cardboard boats around the buoys in Moonlite Bay.
