On my first day, it was amazing to watch all the volunteers work together to raise the outside walls of the home. I would encourage individuals to consider volunteering. There are all types of work abilities needed from clean up, painting, to hammering nails. LAHFH is the perfect place for me - I am learning new skills and staying active. It is rewarding to meet the family and work alongside them as we build their new home.
