About

Senior Class Care was founded by Angela Sandelin in 2007 and started as a home health care agency. By 2009 Senior Class Care Assisted Living-Memory Care unit was developed as a 4-bed facility. Soon it grew to 8 beds than 10 beds and now is a 15 bed memory care unit. In 2011 I had purchased a building in Nisswa and grew that facility into a 30-bed ALF by 2014. An opportunity was presented to me for my Nisswa facility and the location was sold in 2015. I have witnessed when working with memory care clients an enivronment that is smaller and has a home like atmosphere creates less confusion and is more comforting for someone with memory loss. My sites have always been designed smaller for this reason. I have worked in the health care field for more than twenty-five years. I managed a very large assisted living facility in Brainerd, owned a nursing pool company that assisted nursing homes, assisted living facilities, camps, Insurance companies and other agencies with staffing throughout the state of MN from 1998 until 2006. I have five children ranging from 30-17 years old. My daughter Mindy Howard is currently the Vice President of the company and enjoys the industry as much as I do. She graduates this Spring in Hospitality and Management and will continue schooling to receive her RN degree. I love to play golf, basketball, skiing, water sports, biking, hiking and many other activities. I have a dog named "Happy" and he makes me Happy! I love what I do and appreciate getting to know your loved one while at Senior Class Care.
