Pequot Lakes, Breezy Point and Jenkins are at the heart of this neighborhood, which is well-known for its many festivals that attract thousands of visitors to the region! This neighborhood hosts Stars & Stripes Days and Bean Hole Days. Paul Bunyan made his mark in this region. He rested his bobber on the Pequot Lakes water tower and would keep an eye on it as he kicked back and relaxed in his over-sized chair. His trail, the Paul Bunyan Trail, runs through the city of Pequot Lakes north to Bemidji and south to Brainerd. This community also is home to the Paul Bunyan Scenic Byway – a nationally recognized scenic byway with 50 miles of paved, wide-shouldered county roads, meandering around the Whitefish Chain of Lakes. The region is also is known for its destination shopping, with many unique stores offering myriad products to appeal to many tastes and interests. The Chamber’s Pequot Lakes Welcome Center can be found in Trailside Park. There is much to see and do in the northern regions of Crow Wing County and southern Cass County.
