ADMINISTRATIVE SPECIALIST CITY OF BRAINERD The City of Brainerd is seeking a full-time Administrative Specialist. Primary duties include attending evening City Council meetings (usually two times per month); prepares and distributes agendas, minutes, and meeting agenda packets; creates and maintains an accurate and efficient filing system, both manually and electronically, to conform with records retention and MN Data Privacy law requirements; serves as the primary receptionist for the Administration, Finance and HR Departments; and performs various administrative duties including assisting with the City's election process. Minimum Qualifications: Two years' experience in administrative support and office operations. Secondary education in business, general office/admin support or similar field can substitute up to one-half of the experience requirement. Desired qualifications include previous customer service and/or governmental experience as well as preparing meeting minutes. This position is represented by IBEW Local No. 31 (Administrative Support) Union contract describing wage and benefits. The hiring range is $20.80 - $23.92 per hour.
