Kitchigami Regional Library includes 9 branch libraries, bookmobile, and SirsiDynix Symphony ILS. Brainerd serves 30,000 people with 6 FTE staff. The 17,000 square foot library opened in 1986 and currently has a circulation of over 300,000. Brainerd is 2-1/2 hours north of Minneapolis/St. Paul and has a well-supported public school district and a community/technical college. Qualifications include an MLS from an ALA accredited school required plus super- visory experience, preferably in a library environment; good communication skills; dedication to public service; experience with staff development and personnel skills; fiscal management and experience with local government.
