White signifies purity and innocence. Redsignifies hardiness and valor. Blue signifies vigilance, perseverance and justice.Did you know that the pledge was first published in 1892? Truman who was an Elk. n 1953 the United National Act permitted the UN.Flag to be displayed above the U.S. and other national flags at the U.N. Headquarters.The PRE-REVOLUTION FLAG was the RATTLESNAKE with the slogan "Don't tread on me. ih 1775the Pine Tree Banner flag was used on America's first fleet of warships which engaged the Britishin battle November-December 1775. In 1775-1776 the Grand Union Flag had 13 alternating red andwhite stripes representing the 13 original colonies. In 1777 the first authorized American flag wasestablished by Congressional Resolution on June 14. In 1794 the Second Congressional Flag Actadded 2 Stars and Stripes to represent admission of Vermontand Kentucky to the Union.
