DR. JOHN HOWE IS MOST QUALIFIED CANDIDATE FOR STATE SENATOR, DISTRICT 6 Steve Wenzel Dear Citizens of Crow Wing, Cass and Itasca Counties: It was my privilege and honor to represent the good people of Crow Wing and Morrison Counties in the Minnesota Legislature for 29 years. I was also elected by 8th District Republicans as a national delegate for President Trump at the 2016 and 2020 Republican National Conventions. I also teach Political Science at Central Lakes College in Brainerd. I attended the Open Forum for the Republican Senate candidates for District 6 on Tuesday, April 8th at Forest View Middle School in Baxter. I thought all of the candidates made good presentations of their candidacies. But I believe the one candidate who made the very best presentation and who demonstrated a most intelligent grasp of the issues and problems facing the people of our district and Minnesotans was Dr. John Howe, a businessman and retired veterinarian from Grand Rapids. Dr. Howe was the one candidate who stated clearly his positions on issues that would combat and oppose directly the totally irresponsible and immoral positions on legislation advocated by Gov. Tim Walz and DFL legislators. Dr. Howe stated the utmost importance of strongly opposing taxpayer funding of abortions and fighting Planned Parenthood whose death clinics take the lives of innocent, unborn children every day. In my legislative service, I chief authored most of the pro-life legislation following the tragic U.S. Supreme Court decision of 1973 which legalized abortion on demand. Dr. Howe was also the only candidate who brought up the need to enact laws and strict penalties to fight he current corruption in Minnesota government. Howe specifically cited the $600 million plus already stolen under DFL and Walz policies of inaction and incompetence. Also, this fraud occurred in the Minnesota Department of Education and is cited by the U.S. Justice Department as the largest corruption case of all 50 states and the largest in all of Minnesota history!! Also, with Dr. Howe's knowledge and grasp of issues facing small businesses and the rural economy make him the best person to take on and oppose the fiscally irresponsible policies of high tax and state spending proposals by Walz and the DFL Legislature.
