BAXTER TER CAFÉ & CATERING Country Kitchen in Baxter, MN is no more but Kevin and Marilyn are still here. Franchisees Kevin and Marilyn Stumpf have gone independent. Kevin and Marilyn are experienced restauranteurs; they have over 60 combined years of experience in the restaurant business. They know what works, how to please customers, and most of all, how to put delicious food on the table. Before the Baxter Café, the restaurant was the Baxter Country Kitchen where they served homestyle food to thousands of satisfied customers. It was a great ride but like all good things, it had to come to an end. Now that Kevin and Marilyn are operating The Baxter Café and Catering on their own terms, they are guided by two simple philosophies: Nothing but The Best Kevin and Marilyn know that a the hear of every successful restaurant is good food made with high-quality ingredients. That is why at the Baxter Café their ingredients policy is simple: Nothing But The Best. The Baxter Café's Menu is filled with high-quality meals that are made with farm fresh produce, eggs, and meats so their customers can have a great dining experience Treat People So Well They Can't Help but Come Back It seems the fast-paced world we ve in the art of "Customer Service has fallen by the wayside and been replaced by automated processes, and frankly, automated people. Not at the Baxter Café The second rule is to treat people so well they can' help but come back. What that means is you will be greeted with a friendly hello tended to with care, and hopefully sent on your way with a full stomach and a big smile. The only way we are able to keep the doors open is by making sure there are people who want to come back through them another time. Country itchen Kevin says, "We are not Country Kitchen any more, but we are the same service, same food quality. We have Paul Bunyan items and railroad Items with an up north look on the menu. We have no skillets but have great omelets, flapjacks, burgers on the menu and 'Breakfast Served All Day. We can now have a value menu with our senior menu that is set up for seniors' value not more food to keep the price up. Marilyn told me to make certain we have a value menu for our customers." They believe in true customer service by giving hospitality you receive at home. John, who comes in for lunch modifies his menu items to keto. Baxter Café will modify any item to accommodate the customers' needs and wants-high protein, low carb, or even higher natural fat. They also do gluten free items for their customers (wheat gluten free meatloaf). Soup of the day made from scratch dailycreamy wild rice, broccoli, chicken dumpling are examples of their home style RESJAURANT They are catering also. They have been catering for several years. The issue was getting the name out there. There is a catering menu on the website Kevin stresses that if you do not see an item you want, just give him a call. They did street tacos for a Nisswa Chamber event. That was not on the menu but it will be shortly. The Baxter Café and Catering does not get into the posh items. They are just great food with great service. Visit www.baxtercafe.com for more details.
